Microsoft’s ad – it’s really good

So far I thought that Microsoft‘s ads are first and foremost kitschy. Today, however, I have seen Office 2010: The Movie on youtube, and immediately I felt a slight shiver of excitement. Did Microsoft produce something interesting? Oh my God! It’s really good.

Right away I had to do it. I had to confront this production and previous Microsoft’s ads. And… well – I am surprised.

I need to say that that some of the movies that I found, are just… good. What happened? Is it a dream or what? Is my belief in the quality of Microsoft‘s ad was simply wrong?

Below I present Office 2010: The Movie and a few previous ads made by the Redmond Giant.

Office 2010: The Movie

other Microsoft’s ad

Windows Vista Wow!

bing: Hawaii

bing: cell phone

bing: search overload

Xbox 360

for my better feeling… some worse examples…

The first ever Microsoft Vista commercial

Windows XP – The Commercial That Started It All

New Family – Jerry Seinfeld and Bill Gates Ad

Microsoft Live Meeting

Girlfriend

I’m a PC

bing

bing: decision engine

Project Natal

and for the end – some historical ad…

Well, I want to withdraw from that, what I wrote a bit earlier. Sometimes Microsoft just has some better ads… but still most of them are not so good.
