I didn’t have any resolutions for 2009. 2008 was a really hard year for me, so I didn’t even think about the plans for the next year. I had only one simple resolution: more stabilization, less troubles.

Now, after 12 months of 2009 I can say: it was hard to repair everything, but it was worth to do it.
2008 was a year, when I had my own company (I wasn’t self-employment, I was an employer). Without any investor, without any extra money… just me, my company and external clients. Hard times, because of hard clients. It wasn’t a good year. Lots of our clients had payment delays; lots of them were prolonging cooperation without payments, because of… something.
After a year I decided to close the firm, close all the projects, pay all arrears and stabilize my situation. And that was my plan for 2009.
So… what was the year 2009 for me?
Career issues:
- I changed the job. More specific: I found a job. First it was one of the largest IT company in Poland, which specializes in classifieds – Gratka Sp. z o. o. However after a short adventure, I decided to change it for self-employment with permanent contract with Baltic Center of Innovation. I cooperate with BCI till now.
- I decided (and exactly did) to learn new interesting web-technology/programming language: python and develop my experience in Java programming
- I decided about my main goal: I don’t want to be a programmer, I’d like to be a project manager. Now, I try to do everything, what I can to be a PM.
- I decided to close one of my first projects (my own dedicated project, which I founded): ktotaki.pl. It’s not available in Internet anymore. However some day I will hook it to some subdomain – as one of my past works.
- I launched my own website. Some day I will add much more informations right there.
- I launched (and manage till now) three blogs: design blog tspot.pl; just a tech stuff, which is some kind of my tech diary; and this one. This time – the first one is the most popular, however one of my main goals for the next year will be to increase traffic on at least this blog.
- I launched new project: develway.pl. It’s in Polish and right now it’s not so popular, however I am still fighting to change that situation.
- I became one of the experts, writing for experts blogs on one of the most popular Polish website about IT – interaktywnie.com
What about my private issues?
- One really important thing: my wife became pregnant. So I will be a father soon.
