Few days ago I heard about really clever form of marketing. Two ‘normal’ people are in the bus or metro. They are standing near to potential client and talking… about our product, service, firm. They are building positive feelings about our brand.
Try to imagine…
you are in the bus. You want to go home after a hard day of work. There are two people standing near you. Two absolutely unknown guys, who are talking about something. They look nice, pretty… They are in similar age to yours. You can hear the whole conversation or just a few keywords of the conversation. They are talking about the great sales, about cheap gadgets and clothes. They are talking about the things, that you would like to buy. Would you remember that shop? Would you go there and check it by yourself? Sure, you will.
… and that’s how it works.
These two guys could be any person in the world, they could be some friends, business partners, brothers or anything else. However they could be hired by some kind of marketing agency as well.
I don’t really know how that form of promotion is called, however I like it. A lot.
It’s one of the cleverest form of promotion, about which I heard in past months. Marketing agency looks for the people, who are similar to the potential clients of their clients.
If we have some kind of store with gadgets – we need to have young, good-looking, trendy guys. If we have a sport shop – we need to have someone who looks like a sportsman, etc. If we have … (put anything you want here) – we need someone, who is similar to our potential clients.
These guys need to go everywhere, where they could meet people, who could be our potential clients. They need to talk about our products, services, sales, etc. They need to look like our clients. They need to talk as a friends. They need to be natural.
Our potential clients have to identify with them. Our clients may want to do, what they do; or may want to look, like these people look.
And that’s the genius idea!
