So… you have a private account on FB, right? Even more… you know that Facebook is a great tool for promote, so probably you have created fan pages of all your products. Right? Great! So now it’s time for next step: create a fan page of you.

Most of the people has at least “two lives” in their lives:

1. private life (their family, friends, hobby, etc)
2. working life (their jobs, projects, blogs, etc)

These people in most cases have an account on Facebook. Their private account for connecting to friends.

And these people use these accounts to share some things from ‘working life’. What is the result of this? That lots of people have hundreds of friends (which they don’t know) and trash on their FB wall.

I don’t get it.

Come on! Facebook is not Twitter. You shouldn’t have too many friends there.

Sure, I agree that Facebook is a great tool to promote and build brand. However… private accounts are not the best place for doing it. That’s why we have fan pages, that’s why most of the people have created fan pages for their products (btw. is it still a fan page, or did they rename it for something else?).

Ok, but what if I don’t have a product? Or even I may have… but I want to talk about my working life, about my projects or products. Answer is very simple: create a fan page of you and invite these people, who could be interested in these kind of things!

Look at me… I have a private account (where I am connected to people, who I know), I have a fan pages for products in which I participate (tspot and develway) and I have created a fan page of myself. Because I realize that FB is a great tool for build a brand.. and I simply want to build a brand… which is: me.

On this fan page you could find all kind of things which are related to my working life, to my projects, my blog, etc. In few words: there you can find all kind of business, entrepreneurship and project management things.
